Owner Built to a high standard from plans by Bruce Roberts design of New Zealand. Construction started it is believed in 1998 with her being completed and launched in 2011.
Round bilge keel hull with raked stem and reverse counter stern. Masthead Bermudan sloop. Superstructure consists of fore and side decks, forward coach roof pilot house and raised aft deck and cockpit.
Steel hull and superstructure with the topsides being spray finished in 2 pack polyurethane with the finish spray painted with epoxy primer giving a good gloss finish.
There is a 2012 pre commissioning survey available on request .
Fitted with a 4 cylinder Ford 1800 - 60 hp diesel (2010) via a PRM hydraulic gearbox to a conventional shaft drive and fixed propeller. Single lever controls at the steering pedestal and drives 2 alternators.
3 batteries 2 x domestic and 1 engine start. Shore power
2 x Fuel Tanks - stainless steel - 90 gallons

Steel Dawn is fitted out to a very high standard. 5 berths in 2 cabins. Double berth fore cabin and moving aft the heads to starboard has a small S/S sink and shower. Opposite can be found storage.
The Galley runs down the port side and has a 2 burner cooker with oven, microwave, Freezer, S/S sink, fridge and ample storage. Pressurised Hot & Cold Water to galley & heads. There is a Creda 240 hot air heater fitted into the galley. The saloon table comes out from starboard with 2 bench seats seating 4.
2 steps up from the saloon takes you to the chart table which is the inside steering position with the starboard side pilot berth acting as a lounge ares.
There is also a double berth after cabin access through a small doorway.to port.
Diesel cabin heating and the toilet has a holding tank .
The accomodation offers a very sociable comfortable space with a large TV for marina living.
