The Figaro Beneteau II is the first true offshore one design. Built with hi-tech construction methods, easy to sail even in windy conditions, her large hull, double rudder and a extremely tight weight control allows her to reach very high cruising speeds, especially downwind, even under automatic pilot.
Here is THE international single handed and crew handed one design.
The new FIGARO BENETEAU II is the fruit of the synergy between the best sailors from the Figaro Bénéteau class, Chantiers Bénéteau and the designer Marc Lombard.

Classe Figaro Bénéteau
Classe Figaro Beneteau is a non-profit association born in 1990 with the one design Figaro Beneteau 1 tailor-made for its circuit of single, double handed and fully crewed races.
Today its members are the owners and the users of a Figaro Beneteau 2. The Classe is a real gathering place: it gives a chance to the owners, the skippers, the race organiser, the shipyard and the architect to get together on a regular basis.
The arrival of the Figaro Beneteau 2 marked a new start for the series. This boat created by and for the solo sailor is very popular among them and every year they fight for the best places of tough competition events. Single, double handed or fully crewed? All choices are allowed. Offshore or inshore racing? Possibilities can match every taste. Professional skippers who want to prove themselves in the French Championship of Solo Offshore Racing or amateurs who wish to put up with the challenge of a Solitaire Afflelou Le Figaro or an oceanic race. A full and dynamic circuit improved by a range of attractive complementary events.
All on the same ground, using identical boats, that is the battle cry of The Classe Figaro Beneteau.
The association of Figarists holds the reins of the French Championship of Solo Offshore Racing. This classification takes into account 3 events and rewards the best and most regular performance. It really is the sailor that makes the difference.
