HULL
The hull is of single-skinned GRP construction.
Local areas of reinforcement (keel, rudder, chain plates,
hull-deck joint) serve to strengthen the structure.
A single-skinned structural inner moulding is bonded to
the hull.
Its structural role is important as it takes and absorbs
the stresses at pressure points (mast foot, keel, rudder
etc.) so guaranteeing reduced strain on the hull.
The surface makes cleaning easier and provides a better
finish.
The standard hull colour is white with silver livery.
DECK
The deck is sandwich injection construction (glass fibre
and balsa) for optimum strength/lightness ratio as well
as excellent heat and sound insulation.
All working areas and areas of movement around
the deck are provided with a "diamond point" non-slip
finish.
HULL/DECK JOINT
The hull/deck joint is screwed and bonded and is
surrounded by a solid wood bulwark.
This mechanical join ensures a watertight assembly and
also improves safety when moving around on deck.
KEEL
The cast-iron keel is fitted to the boat by a system of
screws and stainless steel backing plates and bonded.
To increase its life, the keel is given an anti-corrosion
treatment and improved finish in the factory before
assembly, using epoxy-based coatings and paint.
STEERING SYSTEM
• Underhung rudder with stainless steel stock.
• 1 helm position in aft cockpit

OCEANIS 37: the new-generation 37' cruiser
Due to be unveiled at this autumn's show, the Océanis 37 will be offered with a choice of two layouts: a 2-cabin version and a 3-cabin version.
The new Océanis 37 is no exception, with boat design by Groupe Finot and an interior by Nauta Design. This prestige partnership has created a breathtaking new-generation yacht in the same style as the Océanis models launched last year by Chantiers Bénéteau, with perfect harmony of line, performance and function.
The three key values that make the Océanis 37 so different from yachts of similar size in today's market are the clean and elegant lines that make for a high-performance hull, a cruising cockpit that doesn't compromise on space, safety and ease of handling and, lastly, a belowdecks layout that continues the BÉNÉTEAU tradition and reflects the brand's innovative profile in terms of perceived value, storage, mouldings, light and style.
It's attention to detail that makes all the difference:
The roof line is sleek, and incorporates two very large windows for maximum light below decks. The cockpit is immediately welcoming, with plenty of room to move around and an attractive and very practical table. Cockpit safety features include the very large transom liferaft locker. The Bénéteau family features can also be seen in the highly practical well-designed companionway door and the companionway itself, with generous treads for easy saloon access.
The forward cabin is a very good size for a 37-footer, with excellent headroom and ventilation, a berth wide enough and long enough for real comfort and plenty of storage.
The galley is intentionally very seamanlike, because an Océanis is primarily all about sailing! So this 37' yacht boasts a fully-equipped galley with enough refrigeration, freshwater and stowage capacity for long-distance cruising.
How the Océanis 37 fits into the BÉNÉTEAU OCÉANIS range: This new Océanis is the fifth addition to the upgraded range in less than 18 months and, like its bigger brothers, combines comfort, ergonomic design, performance and designer looks to deliver unbeatable value for money.
