South West Yacht Brokers Group, in association with Dickies International offer the impressive Beneteau range of motor boats to their South West customers.

Our History In 1993 we purchased an existing boat sales yard and yacht brokerage here in Plymouth and have never looked back. South West Yacht Brokers quickly became the number one venue for second hand craft in the area. 1995 saw an expansion with acquisition of Fowey Yacht Brokers, Western Seacraft and most significantly Plymouth Yacht Brokers.

During 2003 it became clear that our existing facilities had been out grown and encouraged us to relocate to the Yacht Haven Quay boat yard and dry stacking facility. This impressive site boasts around 14 acres of boat storage and the U.K’s largest fully undercover dry stacking building. On site you will find our Sales Display area, Indoor boat showroom, Commissioning facility and chandlery.

Plymouth Yacht Brokers is our marina based operation and can be found at Plymouth Yacht Haven marina, the largest in the area. Plymouth Yacht Brokers has dedicated sale pontoons, ashore storage and ample free parking. It has never been easier to get on board a Beneteau.

Alan Blackmore, Managing Director. With sea all around Plymouth and with strong family roots in the Royal Navy, it was not difficult to develop a strong interest in boats. My first boat was marine ply cabin cruiser complete with Zephyr 6 petrol engine, this gave us lots of fun and the bug definitely bit us. I enjoy all aspects of being on the water from messing around in my canoe, buzzing around in the rib to offshore cruising and racing. There is nothing like arriving in a different port for the first time.

Linda Blackmore, Director Plymouth born and surrounded by water and boats. My parents hailing from Gosport and have strong boat building traditions. My father served a seven year apprenticeship at the world famous Camper and Nicholson boat yard and worked on many of the renowned “J” Class yachts. Our children are both mad keen on boats, our daughter being a RYA instructor in both Power and Sail – you can see it’s in the family blood.

Steve Kitchen, Sales Manager Is based at our Plymouth Yacht Brokers office or having fun on the water. Originally from Nottinghamshire, which is about as far from the sea as you can get. My extensive sales and marketing background bring experience and professionalism. My aim is to exceed those customer expectations at every step of the boat buying process.
